Here is a book that I have been working out of by Pam and Nicky Lintott.

There are quite a few patterns in this book that I like but for now, I'm working on 'Hidden Stars' that I started a very long time ago.
I seem to like starting projects . . . . I did say that this is the year to finish some of these 'projects' up.  Well, I was motivated to get at it today.
It's all cut up and ready to go, I just have to sew the rows together.

It takes a fair amount of time to lay all of the rows out so that it looks good.
I got two rows put together and am happy with my progress so far.

I am making it bigger than it is in the book . . . why do I always do that??
Go big or go home, I guess!!  lol
I first blogged about this here and here if you are interested in reading more about this.

Jennifer over at Glinda Quilts is also working on a different pattern from the same book.  Check out her blog and what she has accomplished so far on her quilt.  It's looking really good!

Do you like to munch while you are quilting too?
I do and I'm sad to say that I just finished off my last bag of Galaxy Minstrels that I
picked up at the airport in London before I came home.
I did pretty good to make them last for 4 months!! lol
I can buy them here in Canada at the British store but they are an outrageous price . . . I guess, I'll have to wait until I can get my daughter to bring me some when she comes home for a visit.
Hope the sun is shining where you are today!

  1. The sin IS shining. Your quilt looks very pretty.

  2. Looks good Shauna! Can't wait to see it finished. I read yesterday in a book that there are "process quilters" and "project quilters". One is the quilter that likes to learn and master the process. The other likes to finish the project. I wonder what they call those of us who are a bit of both! Keep up the good work!

  3. Hey Shauna, thanks for the mention and the praise - feeling the blogging love lately - what lovely ladies we all are! Lots of progress made and your fabric is so pretty - I shall follow with interest. I was munching on Haribo jellies yesterday :)
